Trichoscopy is a digital TV test method, based on video technology Dermoscopy.
The most frequently used magnifications are zoom 20 times and 70 times. The stalks are assessed trichoscopy hair, the mouth of the hair follicle and the surrounding skin. The method enables evaluation of these without having to download the hair (non-invasive).
The course of treatment
During the test, using a camera image obtained by the hair and scalp in three surroundings: the frontal, temporal and occipital. In each location the doctor makes 4 images. Depending on the conditions and clinical suspicion, the test is carried out with or without liquid (“dry”).
Trichoscopy allows for the differentiation of different types of alopecia, particularly androgenetic alopecia with chronic effluvium, and allows diagnosis of dystrophic hair, residual and broken. This method also allows you to assess the activity of inflammatory diseases such as lichen planus pilaris (LPP) and discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE).
